Background:

ASIA-PACIFIC DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATION CENTRE (ADCC) of Dhurakij Pundit University was established in 1991 as a not-for-profit organisation and serve as a resource-based and training centre for the management and communication in development. With the principle to “enhance capacity in development”, ADCC develops and implements various activities through capacity development programme as well as outreach programme in order to facilitate more effective communication and appropriate transfer of knowledge and skills, with the aim of supporting sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region and others.

1. Programme Officer

Under the supervision of the Director of the ADCC, the Program Officer will work as a member of the ADCC team to assist in all aspects of programme management for Capacity Development Programme and responsible for regular contact of Outreach Programme with various partners including government
agencies, NGOs, International NGOs, UN agencies, Donors, Funding Agencies, private sector and etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Main responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of training courses both regular and tailored made courses.
  • Assist in training arrangement, organise and liaise for all logistic arrangement during training session
  • Act as training assistant and facilitator during training session
  • Oversee regular communication of the organization as well as directly liaise with registered participants, resource persons, invited guest speakers, trainers, facilitators and lecturers during training courses
  • Responsible le for the development of PR materials including newsletter, brouchers, pamphlets, and others
  • Assist in the development of newly identified training courses both regular and tailored made course particularly study of new training courses
  • Act as point of contact for customers, partner organizations, and other potential organizations.
  • Identify potential market for ADCC tailored made courses, potential consultancy services and potential project
  • Responsible for drafting project proposal for consultancy service, tailored made project and necessary report documents
  • Assist in preparing Contract Agreement, Term of Reference (ToR) and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and all contract documents.
  • Provide backstopping service and technical support to ADCC staff.

Qualifications:

  • Male or female
  • Relevant degree (Bechalor’s degree with minimum 5 years of experience), preferably in International Development, Politics, Social Sciences or other social related fields.
  • Relevant experience and knowledge in development particularly training and capacity building is advantage.
  • Strong coordination and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good organization, paying attention to detail and accuracy and rigorous follow up
  • Responsive to changing circumstances and adaptable to requirements at short notice
  • Fluency in oral and written English with drafting & editing skills being able to draft proposal and report
  • Team-work spirit with ability to work under time pressure and in a multicultural environment.
  • Good computer skills in MS Office application software, internet browsing, etc.

2. Assistant and Secretary

Under the supervision of the General Administrative Officer, and Financial Officer, the Administrative Assistant and Secretary will work as a member of the ADCC team to assist in all aspects of day-to-day administrative and management of the centre.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist for overall administrative and management of ADCC.
  • Coordinate with ADCC staff to ensure effective and efficient operation with good service to customers
  • Liaise mainly with other university departments and support units in relation to training and other necessary logistics
  • Act as secretary to ADCC Director
  • Assist in preparing training materials and responsible for all logistic arrangements (e.g. accommodation, meals, transportation, visa and etc.) for training courses
  • Assist is managing incoming letter including official letters, notes, memos and etc.
  • Assist in operation to ensure that ADCC meets quality standard such as ISO, SAR and 5Ss system.
  • Collect training information and document and handle ADCC filing system and database
  • Assist in preparing all invoices as well as issuing receipts for customers and training participants
  • Ensure payment of both cash and cheque to be paid in due time.
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure quality, quantity, price and delivery date and identify reasonable suppliers to propose for purchasing

Qualifications:

  • Male or female
  • Bechalor’s degree in any fields.
  • Good command of English
  • Good organization, paying attention to detail and accuracy and rigorous follow up
  • Good computer skills in MS Office application software, internet browsing, etc.
  • Good in speed typewriting.
  • Team-work spirit with ability to work under time pressure and in a multicultural environment.
  • Active and willing to learn new things
